Jeremy Elbertson [one] [ dubious ] (born September 22, 1985), better known by his online alias Jerma985 or simply Jerma, is an American YouTuber, live streamer[ii] and voice actor. He is best known for his "borderline surreal" engagement-based livestreams on Twitch.[three] [4]

Early on life [edit]

Jeremy Elbertson was born on September 22, 1985, and is primarily of Irish gaelic and Polish ancestry.[five] [6] [7] He lived in Boston, Massachusetts until 2018, when he moved to Las Vegas, Nevada.[8]

After graduating with a B.South. in Communications, Elbertson immediately went to work as a freelance wedding videographer,[9] along with having brief stints as a substitute instructor.[10]

Jerma previously endemic a now defunct website called "jermanet.com". It independent video and audio clips, largely from his college years.[11]

Vocalism acting [edit]

On April 17, 2005, Jerma created a Newgrounds account. He largely frequented the Vocalization Acting Club lath of the NG Forum "Clubs & Crews", where he discussed phonation acting work with other members.[12] The merely slice of media actualization on his now abandoned profile was voice interim work on Shaun McGlinn'due south "Salty Swamp," where he plays Loke the Hamlet Idiot, along with numerous other characters.[13] [ original research? ] McGlinn, besides known by his online alias Blordow, would subsequently produce original animations and music for Jerma's YouTube and Twitch.[fourteen]

Jerma created his YouTube channel, Jerma985, on June 11, 2011.[17] His content primarily focused on the video game Team Fortress 2, which he used to help raise money for the non-profit organization Campsite Ane Pace.[18]

On October 8, 2011, Jerma announced his partnership with the online entertainment network Machinima.[nineteen]

In March 2014, Jerma released the first "Jerma Rumble," an almanac production which used the WWE 2K games to make primarily quirky or foreign characters, ofttimes based on characters from Jerma'southward by videos and alive streams, and watch them wrestle in-game.[20] In August 2016, Jerma released a live-action wrestling sketch as that year's Jerma Rumble.[1] In 2015, he played multiple low quality Grand Theft Auto clones through the Apple app store, which is to date his virtually-viewed video.[21]

Twitch [edit]

Jerma did not fully transition into Twitch streaming until 2016.[22] He primarily streams video games (such as The Sims) while interacting with viewers in the chat.[23] After transitioning to Twitch equally a main platform, he became well known for his "unconventional streams" and green screen performances, which fans used to edit comedic videos.[24]
